Okay, I didn't fail, per se. But for one of my projects (Codename Backup Dancers), I had set a deadline for myself – this past Friday. As soon as I did, I was motivated – I quickly typed out a draft that contained the rules for everything I had hoped to include. Then I started to format it, and clean up some of the text.

And then life got in the way – primarily, illness followed by making up for what I missed due to that illness.

So, I didn't finish my project in time. And I just can't get that incredible burst of motivation back. I don't think setting a new deadline for myself will help.

My question is this – what do you do to help yourself recover from failure?

Me, I sulk and drink burbon until I hit bottom, then use the rebound force to propel myself forward.
