Last week, I said I wouldn’t work on other writing projects until I buckled down on Codename: Simulated Jocular Anaconda. Then I spent the week not working on that project at all. This continues to be an issue for me.

  1. Shambles – I got 4 more pieces of sample art yesterday. I will be posting some soon. I also brought in a couple other people to do some more art for this. I also got a nice write up from Unclebear. It’s very exciting.
  2. Codename: Obnoxious Howler Monkey – Unchanged.
  3. Codename: Simulated Jocular Anaconda – It hasn’t moved since last week. GRR!.
  4. Codename: Insignificant Diversionary Anaconda – I was informed that playtesting was more or less complete, and that production was initiating.
  5. Shambles Source Material – Unchanged.
  6. Codename: Unwashed Repeat Pedestrian – Unchanged.
  7. Codename: Enormous Intersected Automaton – Unchanged.
  8. Codename: Gremlin Persistent Malice – As a test, I’ve decided to bring in a few extra hands to write some narrative bits for this. Let’s see how it goes.
  9. Codename: Cackle Smash Soup – Unchanged.
  10. Codename: Tactical Plastic Laser – Unchanged.

Excuse Of The Week: I got wrapped up yesterday in this Creative Commons thing.

RPG Designer David Hill wrote an interesting post today. In short, the economy being what it is he needs to turn some quick monies, and has offered to write a game for anyone for $200 bucks.

I’ll pony $50 bucks, and I’m looking for exactly three other people who will do the same. We’ll give this money to David, who will in turn write a game to be released fully under the Creative Commons license. The four of us will agree on the basic concept of the game, and hand off to David for completion. This is not design by committee. We will hand in a four sentence description of the game and turn him loose on it.

If you don’t have 50 bucks to join in on the fun, but would like to contribute a little money toward the game, please leave a comment below indicating how much you can contribute and we’ll pull the trigger when we get to 200 bucks.

This is a unique opportunity for some of us to get something cool out the door, released using Creative Commons. Let’s make it happen.
